"I HAVE TO WEAR A MASK FOR THE MAINSTREAM"
Leandro Lee is passionate about logistics. His 2nd love is not viewable from the outside- electronic music.
My passion for entertainment assigned heaps of troubles ever since I’ve been a teenager. I grew up in a town in the area of Winterthur in Switzerland.
These were the when baggie-pants were cool and Facebook was tabu. I started listening to house music secretly when I was 12 years old. This genre appears as a clear guideline throughout my life until now. Musicianship lit a fire within me that made me found a record-label. I got to know the music scene in Switzerland by being in contact with artists throughout many years. I found that a lot of artists, performing in smaller and larger bands are recording they’re
Music by them self. Mostly the recorded material is being sent to a large number of labels at the steam of the artists. A lot of artists have got unpublished material lying around, not believing in them selves enough or just not willing to put up with the time killing process of distribution or proper marketing because they simply want to do what they’re good at and love doing - MUSIC.
And that’s exactly where this concept starts its journey: A brand, that stands for offering professional distribution of music, in terms of aiming only for the best possible use of potential. It takes a reliable partner, that I am sure of. But I want a familiar feeling to my recordable as well, that’s working in partnerships according to a platform in favor of exchange, networking and encouragement between artists.
"THEY SAY I’M NAIVE. BUT I BELIEVE IN MY CONCEPT"
I’ve been supporting my artists by publishing or helping out with some marketing strategies and promotion, as i am actively booking gigs for them amongst my network since 2011 so far. The label was founded 9 years ago. Right now we are counting 56 musicians from Switzerland 28, Russia 4, USA 7, UK 12 and Germany 3. I’d like to make sure that my artists are able to tour through Switzerland and offer them an international starting point.
Since I’m a freelancer - doing what I love - I’m generally very flexibel. People I’m in contact with seem to appreciate my diplomatic way of handling things.
By now it has become daily business to present a performance at one of the Leeloop-events as a Leeloop-artist as we are discovering upcoming jewels that way. Never the less, none of my work is glamorous, the commercial impact or success will never be the main guideline. The artists are meant to be able to translate their visions into action. Sharing the music with them and creating connection and interaction through all this is my passion - that already is my definition of success!
